MUSIC THAT MATURES: TOP 40 - SONG #37 JESUS THERE'S NO LIKE YOU

"Jesus, There's No One Like You" comes from Sovereign Grace Music.  A simple declaration empowering worshippers to fight against their idol-making heart. John Piper, in his sermon "Ambushing Satan with a Song" from 2 Chronicles 20:1-20, says, " Spiritual warfare and spiritual worship should be carried out with singing."

Repetitive songs garner negative marks from the gatekeepers of Biblical worship. However, as with any evaluation, we need to remain balanced. Repetition does not negate Biblical worship. Revelation 4:8 supports repetition as a Biblical form of worship. For some, repetition can be vain and emotive, producing no permanent change. For others, it can serve to bolster one's integrity as it reinforces one heart against sin (Psalm 119:36-37).

This song can be used in moments of attack to fight back Satan and sin. Furthermore, I recommend this song as a preemptive strike. One that prepares us to see the victory of our Lord. One that reinforces the pathway to victory, strength through weakness.

VERSE 1
There is no song we could sing
To honor the weight of Your glory
There are no words we could speak
To capture the depth of Your beauty

CHORUS
Jesus, there's no one like You
Jesus, we love You, ever adore You
There's no one like You
Jesus, we love You, ever adore You, Lord

VERSE 2
There is no sinner beyond
The infinite stretch of Your mercy
How can we thank You enough
For how You have loved us completely?

All we have
All we need
All we want is You
